Udupi: Kumaraswamy and Bangarappa to Boost JDS Electioneering

Udupi, Dec 22: Former state Chief Ministers, H D Kumaraswamy, and S Bangarappa, will be visiting the coastal districts to bolster the chances of the JDS candidates in the coming taluk and zilla panchayat elections. This information was given by district JDS president, Deviprasad Shetty.

Both these leaders are expected to arrive in Byndoor by helicopter on December 26, and address election meetings in Vandse, Kota and Kaup in the district. They will also deliver election speeches in support of party candidates in Beltangady and Konaje in Dakshina Kannada district.

Shetty said that his party has entered into an electoral understanding with the Third Front parties in this election. “We have allotted ten taluk panchayat seats in Kundapur taluk to Communist party. The JDS has extended support to independent candidates fielded from Udyavara zillal panchayat constituency, as well as Udyavar – 1 and Udyavar – 2 taluk panchayat constituencies. In Trasi zilla panchayat constituency, we have extended support to BSP candidate, while in Gangolli taluk panchayat constituency, the party has entered into an understanding with Muslim League,” he explained.

    Both Bangarappa & Kumaraswamy are looking for an opportunity to regain power for thei sole motto of looting the state, do not support them, both are to be rejected completely by the public.
