Mangalore: Christmas Jingle Resonates at Bhagini Samaj

Mangalore, Dec 21: Catholic Sabha, Mangalore Pradesh Kulashekar unit ushered the Christmas celebration at the Bhagini Samaj Ashram Mangalore on Monday December 20.

Kannada Sahitya Parishad former president Harikrishna Punaroor was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he said that Christmas brings happiness and cherish in life especially for kids and mainly teaches the importance of god’s blessings on us.

Another chief guest at the programme, Dr Edward Nazreth, vice-president of MCC Bank said that Jesus Christ has taught us the real meaning of peace, love and harmony. He also stressed on the importance of teaching children about their contribution towards achieving communal harmony.

Sushil Noronha welcomed the gathering. Marriet Pinto conveyed her wishes. Victor Vaz compered the programme. Pauline D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Various competitions and entertainment programmes were held. Christmas Kuswar was distributed.
