Mangalore: Town Hall to Reverberate with Devotional Music on Dec 19

Mangalore, Dec 18: A programme of devotional music, titled ‘Nada Vittala Veda Vittala’, is being presented in Town Hall in the city by Sangeet Bharati Foundation from 6 pm onwards on Sunday December 19. This was stated by vice chairman of the foundation, Narendra L Nayak, in a press conference held in the city on Friday December 17.

Celebrated singers, Puttur Narasimha Nayak, Pt Upendra Bhat and Shankar Shanbhogue will be singing devotional songs one after the other. Popular songs as requested by the audience will be rendered by these musicians, Nayak informed.

“For the first time, these three top-notch singers will perform on a single dais, where music and literature will form a beautiful fusion to the elation of the audience. On demand from the audience, these singers will sing devotional songs in Kannada, Marathi and Konkani. Entry for the programme will be through invitations and passes. Free passes may be obtained an hour before the commencement of the programme from Town Hall,” Nayak explained.

Chairman of the foundation, Pt Ustad Rafiq Khan, and secretary, Radhakrishna Rao Perody, were present at the press conference.
