Mangalore: Heavy Rains Pound Karkala Taluk

Mangalore, Dec 18: On Friday December 17, heavy rains coupled with lightning were experienced all over Karkala taluk. As a result, power supply to various regions of the taluk including the town and Kervashe, got severed.

At around 8 pm on Friday, light rains were experienced in parts of Mangalore taluk. A few places within the city also got light drizzle during this period. Shirali and Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district also got some rains.

The meteorological department has predicted some rains in the coastal belt of the state and a few places in southern hinterland during the period till Sunday morning.
