Mangalore: ‘Karavali Utsav’ From December 22 Onwards

Mangalore, Dec 17: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner has said in a press release, that ‘Karavali Exhibition’ being held as part of Karavali Utsav will begin at 6 pm at the Karavali ground near Mangala Stadium in the city on Wednesday December 22. ‘Karavali Utsav’ will be  inaugurated by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, he has informed.

On this occasion, a special programme of dances will be presented by Samudra Performing Arts Group, Thiruvananthapuram. In addition, a few chosen local troupes will also be presenting fine dances, he added.

Different cultural programmes will also be presented at the dais set up at Kadri Park from January 7 to 16, 2011. The exhibition will be on for a period of 45 days, and every evening, variety cultural programmes will be presented at the stage set up at the exhibition ground, he said, duly asking the people to participate in the programmes in large numbers.
