Panaji, Jan 24: The schools and colleges in the state will remain closed till February 15 in view of the rising cases of Covid according to the order passed by the government on Sunday.

Sanjay Kumar, revenue secretary of the state said that the teachers will have to go to their respective schools and colleges through the institutions that will remain closed. Teachers have to hold online classes for students.

Only 50% capacity is allowed in public gathering like malls, cinema halls, auditoriums, mandaps etc

The government also ordered that outstation people entering Goa should have vaccination certificates of both doses. Those who have not taken the vaccine will also be allowed to enter if they produce a negative RTPCR report.

The revenue secretary said that any violation will be punishable under section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005.

Covid protocols of face mask and hand sanitizer and social distancing have to be followed in all public places like cinema halls, river cruises, water parks, entertainment parks, casinos with only 50 percent capacity allowed in the facility.
