Bantwal, Dec 17: Underworld fugitive, Madoor Isubu, who faces a number of cases in the district, was produced in the court of the first grade judicial magistrate here, on expiry of his police custody term, on Thursday December 19. Security had been beefed in and around the court premises beforehand. The court ordered extension of his police custody till December 19.
Advocate for Isubu argued that it would be sufficient if Isubu is remanded to judicial custody, as he has already spent a week in police custody. The judge however, upheld the plea of the public prosecutor, to extend the police custody of the accused, as several other cases need to be investigated.
