Madoor Isubu Custody Extended - Hindu Organizations Demand CID Probe

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Dec 17: Underworld fugitive, Madoor Isubu, who faces a number of cases in the district, was produced in the court of the first grade judicial magistrate here, on expiry of his police custody term, on Thursday December 19. Security had been beefed in and around the court premises beforehand. The court ordered extension of his police custody till December 19.

Advocate for Isubu argued that it would be sufficient if Isubu is remanded to judicial custody, as he has already spent a week in police custody. The judge however, upheld the plea of the public prosecutor, to extend the police custody of the accused, as several other cases need to be investigated.

On this occasion, three women and a child, claiming to be family members of Isubu, tried to talk to the accused. The policemen refused permission for them to speak to the accused.

In the meanwhile, addressing a press conference at Mangalore on Thursday, Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) vice president, Jagadish Shenava, demanded for handing over investigationinto various crimes in which Madoor Isubu is involved, to the state crime investigation department. He said that this is felt necessary, as Isubu had reportedly hatched plans to eliminate Hindu leaders and activists, besides playing a role in communal disturbances. He also claimed that Isubu's involvement with banned Muslim organizations has been proved. He termed a protest organized in front of the office of the district deputy commissioner against Isubu's arrest, as shameful.

Bajrang Dal convener, Shivanand Mendon, and Bajrang Dal Goraksha Prant Pramukh, Vinay L Shetty, also alleged that efforts to convert Hindu girls, murderous assaults, movement of suspicious people and vehicles have been going on and that a police complaints were earlier filed in this connection.

Sharan Pumpwell, Shivanand Mendon, Vamanraj and Harish Amtady were present at the press conference.

I fully share the concern of members of VHP members as the terorist isubu has been involved in various anti national and anti social activites in and around Managlore for a very long time. The media reports based on his confession is really scarry of his intentions. police need to arrest all his associates and conspirators and put them behind the bars forever.
