Bantwal: Plotting to Kill Hindu Leader – Nine Held

Bantwal, Dec 14: The local policemen, on Monday December 13, took into custody nine youth on the charge of hatching a plot to eliminate a local Hindu leader.

The arrested people have been identified as Mohammed Nawaz from Ullal Mastikatte, Abdul Khader Ashraf from Jokatte, Mohammed Saifulla from Moodushedde, Noorul Amin from Kulai, Mohammed Abdul Rashid, a resident of Farangipet Arkula, Mohammed Shariff and Mohammed Riaz from Bajpe Paduperara, Naushad from Konaje Manjanady and Mohammed Ansar from Krishnapur. All the arrested men are aged between 20 and 27.

The policemen, who grew suspicious about the movement of Mohammed Nawaz, had earlier taken him into custody for questioning. Nawaz revealed about the plot, on the basis the information given by him, other arrests were made.

The policemen recovered a sword, two hatchets, three knives, two cudgels, chilli powder, mobile phones, cash, and a car, from the men. The policemen claimed that all these youth were members of a particular organization.
