Kundapur, Dec 13: “Trust, faith and loyalty have of late, been losing relevance. Because of this phenomenon, the people are viewing legislature, judiciary and executive alike with suspicion,” lamented former legislative council chairman and Congress leader, B L Shankar.

He was speaking after inaugurating the new block Congress office at Vandse in the taluk, on Sunday December 12. “The people are perplexed as to whether the state machinery is dead or alive. Politics is becoming a commercial entity. Trust and loyalty are now to some extent, visible only in rural places,” he added.

MLC, K Pratapchandra Shetty, district Congress president, K Gopal Poojary, KPCC spokesperson, M G Hegde, zilla panchaayt members, Harkur Manjaiah Shetty, Sharada D Bijur, taluk panchayat members, H Raju Devadiga and Santoshkumar Shetty Haklady and a number of Congress functionaries were present.

    Oops look who is talking about trust loyalty !!!Mr SHANKAR was groomed by JDS and once considered a right hand of deve gowda and who has shifted loyalties !!!

    B. L. Shanker is straight forward and speaks to the point, I saw him on TV many a times and suprised to know his knowledge. I heard about him many times, he used to support Jaya Prakash Hegde in Brahmavar constituency. B. L. Shanker has a bright future in Politics.
