Riyadh, Jan 11: An online training programme for English language teachers was launched across the country by the ministry of education in joint participation with the British Council.
Each course is designed and run by an expert tutor and has a maximum of 16 participants. NILE allows participants to involve in training that is given by the tutors and certified by the ministry.
This course is guided by trainers and teaching experts with lots of multimedia activity and Bespoke programmes and tools developed to inculcate better teaching methods.
“Education in Saudi Arabia is receiving great support from our progressive and wise leaders which will guarantee the prosperity and growth of this nation,” said Dr Mohammed bin Saud Al-Moqbil, deputy minister for general education.
By participating in this programme, the teachers will have the opportunity to work with their peers from other countries and develop essential skills and competency. The first phase will involve training of English language teachers across the nation. Later this will be expanded to cover all.
“The British council is delighted to support the Saudi education ministry to enhance the skills of English language teachers in the country. NILE online professional courses are great tools to develop a teacher into a full-fledged educator,” said Eilidh Kennedy McLean, Britich council director for Saudi Arabia.
