Riyadh, Jan 10: Dr Rola Dashti, under secretary general of UN held talks with Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, supervisor general of Saudi Development and Reconstruction programme for Yemen on Sunday.

The dignitaries exchanged their views on the topic of UN report about Yemen in the least developed arab countries and opportunities for development. Partnership in resolving issues in Yemen.

The countries in the list include Yemen, Mauritania, Somalia and Sudan which are lacking in development. Dashti said that the partnership of SDRPY with ESCWA was a vital one and is the leader in providing aid to these countries.

The need for the least developed arab countries till 2030 was the main highlight of the discussion. Perceptions and need for LDCs was also taken up during the talks. Activating the development vision along with the international community was focussed on during the meeting. The ultimate aim is to make Yemen socially prosperous and politically, economically stable.

Yemen and Yemenis standard of living was also the important point on which the two dignitaries exchanged their views.
