Bantwal, Dec 6: Nitya Sahaya Mata High School, Arkula, Farangipet celebrated their Ruby Jubilee concluding celebration at the school grounds, recently.
The programme was inaugurated by old student of the school Fr Basil Vas, parish priest of Alanagar Church, Moodbidri.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he received his education in the school and recalled how the school grounds were constructed through shramadan by children.
Addressing on the occasion, chief guest Fr Cyril Pinto, parish priest Omzoor called on the locals to give support for the school and assured to begin pre-university college by next year.
P Shivashankar, zilla panchayat chief executive officer said all Catholic institutes have human values as their core, but this school in particular excels in the sphere, he noted.
The programme was presided by Sr Janet D'Souza, provincial superior of St Charles Boreomio Convent on the occasion.
She said our institution runs on 3 basic theme, faith toil and progress. And the institute has translated this into working methodology so she greeted all the staffs.
B Surendra Kamblee, Adyar gram panchayat president; Sr Lucy Mascarenhas, headmistress, Kannada Medium school, Sr Precilla Lobo, English medium school HM, Francis Cutinho, president, Old student Association and spiritual director of old students' association Fr Robert Lasrado were present.

After the stage programme, variety entertainment programme was held.The cultural activity was followed by Tulu play old students. Around 3,000 people participated in the programme.
