Udupi, Jan 3: SDPI district president Nazeer Ahmed has alleged that Kundapur Trasi police station sub inspector Nanja Naik had attempted a fake encounter on Mohammed Ibrahim at Gangolli police station limits on December 26, 2021 falsely accusing that Mohammed Ibrahim is stealing and slaughtering cows.
Speaking in a news conference at Udupi, on January 3, he said that an innocent person was threatened, arrested and released on bail. “Police themselves create communal feelings and there is systematic conspiracy behind it. Nanja Naik should be dismissed from service immediately,” he urged.
Hanif Muloor, president of Kaup block said Gangolli SI who looks down upon innocent people as criminals should be dismissed from the department immediately. “Ibrahim was accused and his photograph was taken by force as if he had stolen cattle. He has targeted one community and committed atrocities against it,” he said.
“The statement by Francis, the friend of Ibrahim that the calf was given to Ibrahim to rear was not believed. Police personnel have summoned Bajrang Dal and made the witness sign against Ibrahim. Everything has happened according to their plan,” alleged Hanif.
