Mangalore: Ukkuda Bonded Labour Issue - Revenue Officer Suspended

Mangalore, Dec 5:
D B Abubakkar, a revenue inspector in Vittal since June 3, 2003 has been suspended by DC Subodh Yadav on the charge of dereliction of duty regarding the Ukkuda bonded labour issue.

In the suspension order, it has been mentioned that Abubakkar cannot leave the city during this period without the prior permission of Bantwal tahsildar.
 
Three deputy tahsildars Shreedhar Gowda, Malleswami, O J Mascarenhas have been served notice for the same reason. Village accountants Jagadeesh, K Divakar Mugalya, Angara, Prakash have also been served notice by the DC.
