Bangalore, Dec 5: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwar said that the ability to win polls at the zilla panchayat is the utmost criterion to give tickets to the candidates belonging to minority communities in the party.
He was addressing presspersons on Saturday December 4 after meeting the minority leaders of the party. Parameshwar said that the minorities still looked up to the Congress for proper representation. However, enjoying the popular support in their constituencies will be taken into consideration while distributing tickets, he observed.
Proper representation in executive committeee to the minorities too has been planned, he added.
