Udupi, Dec 4: Haji Abdul Sattar Saheb (73), resident of Deen Street in Padubidri and convenor of Urdu Aided  School, died after a brief ailment at Bangalore on Thursday December 2. He is survived by wife, two daughters, and a son.

Sattar had functioned as the member of Padubidri gram panchayat, president of Noorania Madrassa Committee, member of Jumma Masjid and as an activist of Janatadal.

On Friday, former union minister, Oscar Fernandes, former state minister, Vasant V Salian, and others visited his home and consoled the family members.
