Udupi, Dec 3: The five-day long, annual parish feast of Kanajar concluded, here on Wednesday, December 1.
The theme of the thanks-giving day was 'My soul glorifies the Lord'. Fr Pascal Menezes, parish priest of Kota and ICYM director for Udupi district was the main celebrant. In his homily, he said that though Kanajar parish is small, it shines like a bride because of the deep faith and devotion of the people. He explained about the qualities of a mother and asked the faithful to love and respect our earthy mothers. It will lead us towards our heavenly Mother Mary, he added.
At the end of the mass, Fr Alwyn D’Cunha, the parish priest thanked the parishners for the great success of the events and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God.
