Mangalore: City Law Teacher Bags National Honour

Mangalore, Nov 30: Senior lecturer in Law Vinoda Rai was awarded the Indira Gandhi Women Achievers Award and Glory of India Gold Medal instituted by India International Friendship Society, New Delhi by former Governor Bhishma Narain Singh at a function held in India Habitat Centre, recently.

A professor of Law at SDM Law College in Mangalore, Rai who is also the incumbent dean of Law Faculty at Mangalore University, has been recognized with the honour for her contribution to the field of legal education and developing student leadership through various activities.

The award instituted by IIFS, has been received in the past by eminent personalities of the likes of Dev Anand, Prema Cariappa, Sunil Dutt, Shamim Jairajpuri, B D Jatti and  Rajesh Khanna among host of others.

    Congratulations Madam vinoda Rai, on your receipt of the the prestiguous award. You much deserve it. It was also less fortunate for us not to be lectured by you, but we still have been lucky to be lectured by your brother, Advocate Prithviraj Rai.
