New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): Redmi India recently launched its 11th gen smartphone under its popular Redmi Note series, called Redmi Note 11T 5G.

The smartphone comes with 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, a 5000mAh battery, dual real camera setup and more.

The handset is available in three variants -- 6GB+64GB (expandable to 1GB), 6GB + 128GB (expandable to 2GB) and 8GB +128GB (expandable to 3GB) for Rs 16,999, Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively.

We used the 6GB+128GB variant in blue colour for a week and here is what we think about the latest phone.

In design, the smartphone scored really decent marks thanks to its shiny polycarbonate back.

The phone is available in three finishes -- aquamarine blue, stardust white and matte Black colours.

The volume rocker is on the right and the SIM card tray sits on the left. All of these are properly placed for single-hand use.

The smartphone comes with dual speakers on the top and bottom along with a charging port. The fingerprint sensor is mapped on the power button.

The smartphone features a 6.6-inch full-HD (1,080x2,400 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

It comes with Intelligent Display with Adaptive Refresh Rate that automatically adjusts the refresh rate based on the content and can switch between 50Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz for a smoother experience. The display also features a full DCI-P3 wide colour gamut that compared to sRGB offers better and more real-like visuals.

The display overall has pleasing colour output and the viewing angles are conventional.

The device comes with the dual rear camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, along with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter.

With a 119 degree field of view, the smartphone allows users to capture anything from group photographs to landscape shots.

The smartphone captured excellent images during the day, bringing ultra-clear and rich details.

The camera app has been enhanced to compliment the powerful camera setup with interesting features such as Kaleidoscope, Slow-Motion, Time-Lapse video, Night Mode along with many other pro modes that allow users to get more creative and do more with their smartphone.

For clear and crisp selfies and video calls, the device boasts of a 16MP selfie camera sensor. During the review, the device managed to click some great selfies.

The phone is powered by an octa-core, MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, along with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

To cater to the high-performance needs of power users, the handset comes with a RAM Booster. It allows users to improve system fluidity by extending available memory of the smartphone by up to 3 GB.

The smartphone comes with up to 128GB of onboard UFS 2.2 storage that supports expansion via microSD card (up to 1TB).

During our test, we did not feel any lag while using the device for the everyday task. The games like 'Call of Duty Mobile' and 'Asphalt 9' were playable at max graphics.

On the software front, it comes with the latest version of MIUI 12.5, out-of-the-box. It delivers a good software experience to users.

The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery that lasted for more than a day under moderate usage conditions. Equipped with 33W Pro fast charging, the device can be powered up to 100 per cent in just 60 minutes.

Conclusion: With Redmi Note 11T 5G, the brand aims to take the series to the next level. At this price point, it is a great choice.

Despite a decent overall performance, it will face competition from Realme 8, 8s, Realme Narzo 30 and 30 Pro, etc.
