Dubai, Nov 28: Emirates Pangalites, UAE, the parishioners of Pangla,Shankerpura, Udupi in India organized a family picnic at the Zabeel Park here on Friday November 26.
The picnic started at about 12:30 noon with a warm welcome by the president Vinay Vaz, cordially inviting whole gathering to enjoy the perfect day of fun and relaxation.
Joel Quadras took over the responsibility of the daylong picnic together with Noel, Ashwin, Vinitha, Clevin D’Souza & Micheal Castelino by dividing the entire gathering into four groups by naming them as per their choice from Royal Challengers, Golden Angel, Panglacho Prakash to Go Green.
There were plenty of interesting games like Warm up game, Group forming game, Balloon game, Dodge ball, Green piece straw game as well as Lemon & spoon race for children.
Al Shaya Resturant, Karama served Mangalorean lunch, rice with dal curry, chana thendli, chicken sukka, pickle and sweet which was enjoyed by everyone.
After the lunch the thrilling games like Jingles game, Kasadindha rasa and Ball in the bucket among others were conducted with great zeal of participation.
Chocolates bunch is another individual guessing game to count the number of chocolates which was conducted by Clevin D’Souza.
After the tea break the whole gathering was engrossed in for Housie-housie and the most thrilling Tug-of-War wherein four groups fought vigorously to gain the victory with a great deal of time.
Finally the Golden Angels group was the overall winner. All the groups were awarded with the prizes for their active participation.
The lots of cold drinks were served through out the day, which kept the entire gathering energetic and sportive. Above 100 people enjoyed the cool pleasant climate under the shadow of trees on the green grass which will be remembered for a long time.
The picnic concluded at around 5.30 pm with the prize distribution ceremony and vote of thanks by secretary Shaila D’Mello.
