Udupi: S K Sports to Hold State Level Kabaddi Match on Dec 11

Udupi, Nov 27:  S K Sports, Udyavar and District Kabaddi Association will hold a Kabaddi match for men and women at Lions Ground, here on December 11.

S K Sports advisor Errol Gonsalves briefed the reporters about the event at a press conference here, recently.

He said that the event is mainly held to encourage the talented players to compete at the international level. He informed that under men’s category 12 teams will take part and under women’s nine teams will contest.

The first prize winner under men’s category will take home a cash prize of 30,000 and second prize winner will take home 15,000, whereas the first winner under women’s category will carry home Rs 15,000 and second winner will get Rs 9,000.

Actor Likith Shetty, Halli Haida Pyatege Bandha fame Manvi will grace the inaugural function. KPCC member Manjunath Udyavar, MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Raghupati Bhat, entrepreneur Vilas Nayak, Fisheries Federation president Yashpal Suvarna and R J Avinash among others will be present as special invitees.

S K Sports president Mahesh Padmanab was present at the press meet.
