Mangalore: Rains Disappear – Twin-districts Bask in Sunshine

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Nov 26: The rains completely retreated from Karnataka coast on Thursday November 25. Except for overcast sky in the evening in most places, and light drizzle in Subrahmanya and a few places in Udupi district,  it looked like a summer day at all other parts of the twin-districts.

Bright sunshine was experienced in Puttur, Sulia, Bantwal, Beltangady and Mangalore taluks. Still, cracks developed in the wall of a house belonging to Padmavati in Kudi village in Udupi district due to lightning. Five persons in Kinanoor Karindalam, Kasargod district, were injured due to lightning. All of them were admitted into a private hospital for treatment.

The meteorological department has predicted light to moderate rains at a few places in coastal Karnataka and southern hinterlands, and also in isolated places located in northern hinterlands. This prediction is valid till Saturday morning.
