Bengaluru, Dec 12: Karnataka on Sunday December 12 registered 330 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 7,328. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 205 new infections, including the state's third case of Omicron variant, while Kodagu's tally shot up by 40, and Dakshina Kannada reported 15 cases.
Four deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, of which three were from Bengaluru Urban and another from Bidar. With this, the toll so far stands at 38,261.
The state recorded 304 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,54,817.
So far, Karnataka has seen 30,00,435 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.27%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.21%.
As many as 8,03,08,167 vaccination doses have been administered so far.
