Udupi: Lecture on Women Empowerment and Rights Inaugurated

Udupi, Nov 23: The women are working in every sphere equally with men in the society. If all women are educated, it will create just society, said women and child welfare officer Sadanand Naik.

Sadanand Naik was delivering lecture on women empowerment and rights organized by Information and Broadcasting department as part of special campaign of Mysore division at Trinity Industrial Training Institute auditorium, Udyavar, here on Tuesday November 23.

The rural women are deprived of education.  The social welfare and voluntary organizations are expected to take earnest interest in educating them, in order to bring them to the mainstream of society, added Sadanand Naik.

The district joint director of agriculture B Y Srinivas inaugurated the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the women empowerment has enabled them to flourish in walks of life.

Udyavar Rotary Club president Nagesh Kamath and secretary Dinesh Salian also spoke on women empowerment.

The district Information and Broadcasting officer M Junjanna explained the objectives of the department.

Trinity Industrial Training Institute instructor Nagendra Kumar compered the programme.  Pratibha proposed the vote of thanks.

It was organized in association with Trinity Industrial Training Institute, district office of Information and Broadcasting department and Rotary Club, Udyavar.
