Mangalore, Nov 23: The valedictory ceremony of the two-day workshop on cardio-pulmonary physiotherapy was held, recently.
Dr A G Jayakrishnan, chief thoracic surgeon, FMMC, was the chief guest. Fr Richard Coelho, administrator of FMCI was the guest of honour. Fr Dennis D'Sa, adminstrator of FMMC, Dr Sanjeev Rai, chief of medical services and Narasimhan S, course co-ordinator of physiotherapy were the other dignitaries present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr G Jayakrishnan stressed the need for a specialized team and not an individual to make cardiac surgeries a success.
Aasma Sharma, a delegate from the KMC college, Mangalore then chose to share her experience with the large crowd , saying that “the best part of the conference was the active participation of the delegates”.
Dr Sanjeev Rai, then spoke about the need for effective communication.
Fr D'Sa delivered an inspirational speech all about passion and solidarity to the delegates.
The workshop was attended by delegates from different colleges including Oxford College, KMC Mangalore, Laxmi College, Dr M V Shetty College, Srinivas College, K Pandyarajah Ballal College and Yenepoya College.
Mementos and certificates were then given away and finally the function ended with Cherishma D'Silva, one of the key speakers, delivering the vote of thanks.
