Mangalore: Mescom Lineman Electrocuted

Mangalore, Nov 19: Pranesh (28), a native of Bangalore, working as lineman for Mescom here, came in contact with live wire accidentally while undertaking repair of power lines by climbing up an electric pole in Kavoor in the city on Thursday November 18.

Pranesh had gone up the pole, after Mescom received complaint that power supply to Daivasi area near Kavoor Lord Mahalingeshwara temple was not proper. Pranesh, who touched live wire, got stuck in the cables, and his body was brought down by Mescom officials later. It is learnt that before going up, the power supply to the region was cut off. It is not known as to how and who restored power supply on this line.
