Beltangady, Nov 18: Suresh Poojary (35), residing in five cents colony of Sulkery village in the taluk, was electrocuted at Balyayakody of Tenkakarandoor village on the night of Tuesday November 16.

Poojary reportedly was walking towards his home at night. A snapped telephone cable blocked his way, as the cable got entangled in his legs. Angered by this hurdle, he threw away the cable, which came into contact with high tension power lines passing by the same route above. Suresh Poojary was electrocuted on the spot.

A case in this connection was registered in Venur police station.
