Mangalore: International Film Festival Concludes

Mangalore, Nov 17:
The 4-day International Film Festival organized by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy of Bangalore and the Bellimandala and Belli Saakshi units of Dakshina Kannada district at Don Bosco Hall concluded here on Wednesday November 17.
 
The film festival in city was inaugurated by deputy commissioner Subodh Yadav on Sunday November 14.

A total of 16 international classics were screened (four films per day) using powerful LCD projectors. The classics screened at the fest included Belli Moda, Tied Hands, Turtles Can Fly, Spring Summer Fall Winter, Train in the Tenth Floor, Jumping Over the Puddle Again, Yesterday, The Chorus, City Lights, The Return, Pasanga, The President's Barber and White Ballon among others.
 
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, Sadananda Suvarna said that a film is an object of analysis and study. Justification is required for all the components which have been brought together in the movie, he added.
 
Nithyananda Shetty, principal of Mahesh PU College welcomed the gathering while Vasudeva Belle delivered the vote of thanks.
