Beltangady: Rs 1.6 Cr Distributed to 40,000 People in DK Every Month under Sandhya Suraksha

Beltangady, Nov 14: In all 40,000 people in Dakshina Kannada district are availing monthly pension to the tune of Rs 1.6 crore under Sandhya Suraksha Yojana, said MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary.

MLC Kota Srinivas was speaking after inaugurating the convention of beneficiaries under Sandhya Suraksha Yojana and Bhagyalaxmi Yojana, which was held at Suvarna Souda, Kashibettu, Laila, near here on Sunday November 14.

Commenting on the allegations of opposition parties – Congress and JDS on improper implementation of Bhagyalaxmi Yojana, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary said that it has been introduced for the welfare of girls hailing from poor families. The convention has been organized by the state administration, in order to facilitate the beneficiaries to collect their bond certificates and also sari; since vested interested are taking the opportunity to exploit the beneficiaries in awarding their entitlements of bond certificates, added Poojary.

MLA K Prabhakar Bangera presided over the programme. 

The state BJP vice-president Sulochana Bhat, district BJP chief secretary Sanjeev Matandoor, the district organizing secretary Prasad Kumar, taluk Youth Morcha president Ranjan G Gowda, farmer’s Morcha president Gopalakrishna Sharma, Shakti Kendra secretary Divakar M, taluk former president Kushalappa Gowda, chief secretary Narayan Achar, Balakrishna Shetty Savanalu, Harish Salian and Laila gram panchayat president Sudhakar among were present. 

The zilla panchayat Shakti Kendra president Sachin Kumar Nujodi welcomed the gathering. The taluk panchayat member Mahabala Gowda compered the programme.
