Mangalore, Nov 13: The finale of the Sandesha Kalotsava – 2010, the week-long cultural festival of art and communication skills, was held in the Sandesha Kala Bhavan on Saturday, November 13.
Upendra Prabhu N, general manager of Karnataka Bank Ltd, was the chief guest. He said that following Indian culture is the key to one's success. Our culture is also the hallmark of our identity. Thus it is good to see children taking part in this kind of cultural festival with zeal, he added.
The Kalotsava commenced on Monday, November 8.
During the finale, a few selected prize winners performed. Prize distribution ceremony was also held on the occasion.
Karnataka Bank sponsored the event. The participants of this state-level inter-school competition belong to the higher primary, high School and P U colleges.
Sandesh College choir group sung the choir song. Fr Valerian Mendonca welcomed the gathering. Vani Rajgopal delivered vote of thanks. Sharada Vidyalaya, Ladyhill higher primary school, St Mary's School won the prizes in patriotic song competition. Mary Well High Primary School, Kinnigoli bagged the prize in folk dance programme.
