Mangalore: Yenepoya Rural, Urban Health Centre Observes National Education Day in Taluk

Mangalore, Nov 13: Directorate of rural and urban health care of Yenepoya University observed the National Education Day to commemorate the birthday of Dr Maulana Abul Kalam Azad by conducting various health education and health awareness programmes.

Mukacheri in Ullal Panchayat Area: Health education programme was conducted on at Tipu Sulthan DEd College for all the trainee teachers and staffs of the college.

Mohd. Shaleel, principal of the college welcomed the gathering. Director of rural and health care Dr R N Sujeer inaugurated the National Education Day and gave a talk on the “present health problems and its prevention”. Dr Kiran spoke on acute respiratory infection, Dr Shreef spoke on prevention of diabetes, Dr J C Bose interacted with the audience. Reshma, MSW gave the vote of thanks.

More than 110 members attended the programme.

Mukacheri Anganwady School: School Health Check-up was done at the venue wherein more than 35 children were examined and given health advice.

Munnur: Health Education Day was conducted at Babukatte School in Munnur near Deralakatte. Director R N Sujeer inaugurated the day and spoke on the importance of the day and gave a message on educating the children and youth regarding good health.

Dr Manjunath, Dr Kiran and Dr Shareef spoke on the occasion. Dr J C Bose interacted with the students. Athika, MSW welcomed the gathering. Marleen Mascarenhas, principal of the school delivered the vote of thanks. More than 150 staffs and students attended the programme.

Kotepura: The National Education Day was celebrated at Kotepura for the the Tailors' Association.

Dr Noora spoke on Environmental Hygiene and gave them health education and also advise on prevention of diseases.

Bengre: The National Education Day was observed by Urban Health Care and Development Centre at Kasaba Bengre. More than 35 members attended the programme.

Dr Nanditha spoke on Personal hygiene and prevention of diseases.
