Brahmavar, Nov 17: Aniket Shenoy, son of Kota Srikant Shenoy, a social activist, has emerged as a role model for the young people by showing his social commitment by helping those suffering from cancer.
Shenoy grew his hair for the last two years. On this Children’s Day, he donated his hair to cancer patients, specifically the ill children, through Bengaluru-based hair donation society. His commitment to social issues has come in for generous praise.
Aniket has been treading the illustrious path laid by his father, Srikanth Shenoy, who also is a social activist. Aniket has been active in various organizations and institutions. He is always busy with one or the other social activities. He has been identified by being the Rotaract secretary of Shirva Bantakal, as a person associated with Clean Kundapur, as a blood donor and also by bagging the state level youth scientist award during his college days.
Aniket Shenoy Kota said that he has donated his hair for the cancerous children on this Children's Day. He added that he is proud of that. "I felt that I should shave my head and stand with the children to tell them that being bald is beautiful. I feel a sense of fulfilment in telling the children that I stand with them, that they are not alone, and assure them that their path is full of love and affection.
Aniket happens to be a student of Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Engineering College, Bantakal.
