Karkala: Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Nitte College from Nov 11

Karkala, Nov 10: A three-day national level ‘Tech Nidarshan-10’ is being organized in Nitte in the taluk as part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology from November 11 to 13. This was stated by principal of the college, Dr S Y Kulkarni, in a release.

He said that all the students of the college will be provided with an opportunity to actively participate in all the programmes. They will get an opportunity to rub shoulders with the most talented people from the country, he added.

Apart from various competitions, workshops on current topics will be held.  Robotics by the old students of  IITs and Indian Institute of Science, lectures by respected resource persons in issues concerning technology, a folklore and rock music fusion proposed to be presented by popular singer, Raghu Deekshit, will be the main attractions of the celebrations, he explained.

In addition to the students of the Indian Institutes of Technology, over a thousand students from about 50 prestigious engineering colleges from different parts of the country, will participate in the competitions. The celebrations will be inaugurated by Dr Sandeep Sancheti, director, NITK, Suratkal, at 9.30 am on November 11. The programme will be presided over by Nitte University chancellor, N Vinay Hegde, he said.
