Mangalore, Nov 9: The annual day celebration of Legion of Mary Association of Mangalore Commitcium was held at Samanvaya Hall, Urwastores on Sunday November 7. 

Fr John D’Souza of St Joseph Seminary Mangalore was the chief guest and sole resource person of the day. He enlightened the legionaries on “Mother Mary a role model for legionaries”. He spoke on various types and levels of devotions, place of Mother Mary in the church and dogmas related to Mother Mary among others.

The variety entertainment programme included skits, songs, jokes and dances from the participants.

Secretary Irene Carlo read the annual report and the treasurer Evelyn Sequeira presented the accounts. Bela and Udupi Curia representatives such as Sr Lilly Paula and Donath Almeida respectively were on the dais.

Vice-president Cynthia Fernandes welcomed, president Alice Lobo proposed the vote of thanks and Philomena D’Souza compered.

The diocesan director of Legion of Mary Dr Ronald Cutinha addressed the audience and delivered the message. 110 legionaries from 21 parishes of the diocese of Mangalore were present.
