MLA Khader Urges Postponement of CM's Programme Under Bhagyalaxmi

Mangalore, Nov 8: Concerned that many of the Muslim beneficiaries of Bhagyalaxmi scheme may not be able to attend the programme scheduled to be held on the day of Eid-ul-Ad’ha, November 17 U T Khader, MLA, has opposed Chief Minister Yeddyurappa’s move to hold saree distribution programme in Udupi and Puttur on the same day.

He said it is not fair to hold a government programme during a religious festival, as some beneficiaries belonging to a particular community may not be able to attend the programme. He urged the CM to postpone the programme.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is scheduled to distribute bonds to 11,987 beneficiaries of Bhagyalaxmi scheme at a function to be held at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple premises at Puttur on November 17.

    Khaderji, u don't worry 4 such silly reasons. Muslims or any other minority people are not eligible for this saree. These sarees r bought from Guj Rat state. These are menat for for only pukka kaki. Just for video sake one not more than two muslim ladies will be ed after making sure that they r going 2 vote for BJP in coming elections. These caretakers do not realise that people lost everything due to rains and have no place to stand and our great RSS-grownup-mindless-and hopeless C.M. is distributing sarees. Because during his tenure many ladies had to loose their sarees because of him and his rule. Still more rains r expected to cleans his SINS in this land. Jai Kar Nataka.
