Bengaluru, Nov 7: Karnataka on Sunday November 7 registered 239 new cases of coronavirus, maintaing its steady rate over the past few weeks.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 8,002. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 151 new infections, while Mysuru reported 17 and Hassan and Uttara Kannada 12 each.
A total of 5 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, with Bengaluru Urban and Mysuru reporting two each, and Belagavi one. With this, the toll so far has risen to 38,112.
The state recorded 322 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,43,809.
So far, Karnataka has seen 29,89,952 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.21%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.09%.
As many as 6,64,57,821 vaccination doses have been administered so far.
