The arrested accused persons have been identified as Kiran, Harish, Divyaraj, Charanraj, Tilak and Riaz from Ammunje Moodayikodi. The other two accused, Prashant and Roopesh, gave the policemen a slip at the time the operation to nab the culprits was on.

In the coupons issued on behalf of Indian Oil Company at Padma Service Station at B C Road, date of the lottery draw had been mentioned as November 7.
