Bengaluru, Nov 6: Continuing its steady rate in the number of coronavirus cases, Karnataka on Saturday November 6 registered 224 new infections.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 8,090. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 148 new infections, while Dakshina Kannada reported 15 new cases and Udupi 10.
A total of 5 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Saturday, with Bengaluru Rural, Bidar, Kolar, Koppal and Mandya reporting one each. With this, the toll so far has risen to 38,107.
The state recorded 317 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,43,487.
So far, Karnataka has seen 29,89,713 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.37%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.23%.
As many as 6,63,08,813 vaccination doses have been administered so far.
