Panaji: Migrant found dead, third incident within fortnight at Ponda

Panaji, Nov 1: A migrant worker was found murdered at Marcel at Ponda.

The deceased is identified as Harinder Prasad (44), native of Bihar. This is the third murder that has happened within a fortnight at Ponda.

Two senior citizens, siblings in relation, were murdered on October 16 in their flat in the busy market area.

The deceased was found lying unconscious by a passeby near the Kumbharjua-Gawandali bridge. Though he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance he had already breathed his last.

The labourer was residing in a rented accommodation at Ameyawada. Murder is suspected as injuries are found on the dead body.

A case in this connection is registered in Ponda police station. Further investigation is on.
