Bantwal, Oct 30: Union minister Bhagavanth Khuba said that the country is marching towards all round development after PM Modi has assumed power.
Khuba was speaking after inaugurating the district level loan connectivity programme and workshop giving information about various schemes of the union government that was organized by nationalized, private and local banks, NABARD and other cooperative banks which was held at Buntara Bhavana of the town on Saturday October 30.
Khuba further said, “The banking sector did not find much success as the earlier government failed to identify the needs of the citizens. IN addition, Congress did not allow Dalits and minorities to come into the mainstream of society due to caste politics. Development is not possible only due to providing infrastructure facilities. In addition, education, economical upliftment and social upliftment is also required.”
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rajesh Naik said that criticism is quite natural in the social sector and BJP is standing above those things and giving priority to development.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “Janardhan Poojary is the person who made the people of the district go to bank and avail loan. But Narendra Modi made the loan amount to be deposited directly into account through Digital India and Jandhan schemes.”
Nalin also instructed the bank officials that at least one employee knowing Kannada and Tulu should be in the branch.
Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “Dakshina Kannada district is in the forefront of education, health and banking sector. Janardhan Poojary did loan mela programme for the convenience of poor people. Today, Nalin Kumar has done it digitally.”
In his address minister Angara said, “Union government has implemented various schemes in order to bring transparency in the administration.”
President of SCDCC bank Dr M N Rajendra said that no problem is created as locals are recruited in cooperative sector. He also said that the Navodaya group will be increased from 40000 to 80000.
Various exhibition stalls related to banking schemes were displayed in the basement as well as outside the hall.
Condolence was offered in silence to the young Sandalwood actor Puneet Rajkumar who died on Friday. His social work in addition to acting was lauded by MP Nalin and BUDA president Devdas Shetty.
Minister Khuba flagged off the mobile bank bus implemented by SCDCC bank.

Union minister Khuba, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Harekala Hajabba, who is selected for Padmashree award and SCDCC bank president Dr Rajendra Kumar were felicitated on the occasion.
