M'lore: St Lawrence School Bids Farewell to Retired Head Master Denis D’Souza

Mangalore, Nov 3: Denis Neri D’Souza who served as a school head master for 36 years was accorded a warm farewell at St Lawrence Church’s cultural auditorium, Bondel, recently.











 

On January 1, 1971 he joined as an assistant teacher at St Lawrence Aided Higher primary School, Bondel. He obtained his graduate degree from St Aloysius Evening College and later pursued BEd from Annamalai University.

St Lawrence Church parish priest Fr Antony D’Souza presided and offered a souvenir to Denis D’Souza. Catholic Education Board secretary Fr Wilson D’Souza felicitated him by draping a shawl and garlanding him. Education officer Dayavati also honoured the retired teacher and recalled his contribution in the field of teaching.
She also reminded the gathering that Denis D’Souza has been the recipient of D K district’s best teacher award.

Church maintenance board vice-president Rudolf Pinto welcomed the gathering.
