Oct 21: DK reports 33 corona cases, one death; Udupi adds 9 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 21: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, October 21 reported 33 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.48%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 20,31,756 samples have been tested so far, out of which 19,16,562 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,194 out of which 303 are currently active.

As many as 26 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 113214.

The death in the district on Thursday is one. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,677.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,25,170 in fines for 88,322 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,94,795 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 9 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,625 out of which 54 are currently active.

A total of 8 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,095 for the second wave.
