Beltangady, Oct 29: The Indians were the first to discover before foreigners that the system of agriculture primarily depending on cattle can yield more profit to the country, said Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers' Federation President Raviraj Hegde.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new building of Milk Manufacturers’ Women Co-operative Association at Hunsekatte here on Friday October 28.
On behalf of the federation he donated Rs 10,000 to the maintenance of newly constructed building. Town panchayat president Muguli Narayan Rao presided.
Former MLA K Prabhakar Bangera, taluk panchayat president T G Joy, zilla panchayath member Rajashree S Hegde, Dakshinna Kannada Milk Federation director B Niranjan Bavantabettu, Veena R Rai, PadbanabhaShetty Arkaje, D S Hegde, Santhosh Kumar Jain, Rajesh, Eshwar and J N, J R D’Souza were the chief guests.
