Udupi: Agriculture Science Centre Organizes Paddy Harvester Demonstration

Udupi, Oct 27: Hundreds of students gathered at Agriculture Science Centre, Brahmavar, near here, on Wednesday October 27, to view the harvesting of the paddy crop at Birti paddy farmland.


 The Centre’s scientists Dr M Hanumantappa, S V Patil, and K S Kamat provided information on the specific features, advantages, and efficiency of the harvester. 
 
Brahmavar Government Pre-University College principal Tara Devi, Nagaraj Rao, and Suresh Nayak were present on the occasion.
 
The harvesting will continue till Thursday October 28.

    Good Paddy harvest Machine, how much it will cost? Very usefull during bad weather. Rs.250/day for a male worker now a days. At least farmer wont loose the grain if at all it rains.

    Well done by Agriculture Science Centre, its real requirement in our district as shortage of agricultural and paddy-field labor.
    There are many farmers willing to cultivate their field, unfortunately high wages and unavailability of professional farming labor we can see many agricultural fields are empty now a days…...

    The New harvesting Technology should reach all farmars in the Coastal Districs where labour is very difficult to get. The cost should be economical. Brahmavar Agricultural University is doing very good work which will deffinetly improve the effieceny of the coastal farmers. Great demonstration... Keep it up..
