Mangaluru: Gang of 20 attacks brothers over trivial issue, escapes

Mangaluru, Oct 10: A gang of more than 20 youths allegedly attacked two brothers over a trivial reason, leaving them seriously injured. This incident occurred under Kavoor police station limits on the evening of Saturday, October 9.

Azeem and his brother Ashique have been grievously injured in the attack. They have been admitted to private hospital in the city.

It is said that a youth among the attackers had abused Azeem and challenged him to come to Gudde ground if he has guts. Azeem informed the matter to his brother Ashique. When both went to Gudde grounds they were attacked by a gang of more than 20 youths armed with sticks, stones and helmet. The gang escaped after the assault from the spot.

Locals got the brother admitted to private hospital. No case in this connection is registered in Kavoor police station. Police personnel of the station said that they have not received any complaint in this regard.
