Panaji, Oct 9: Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to lash the state on October 11 and 12 according to forecast of India Meteorological department (IMD) due to the cyclonic pressure that is built off the coast of Karnataka.
The rainfall may be as heavy as 6.4 cm is some parts of the state. At present the pressure spot lies around 4.5 km above sea level off the coast of Karnataka. A low pressure area over north Andaman Sea will also likely to form on October 10, which will subsequently move to the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
