Sullia, Oct 7: "The BJP is winning everywhere because of its potential and development works. Sincere workers are the assets of the BJP and achievements of the state government are the stepping stones for the party's victory," said state BJP vice president B Y Vijayendra.
He was speaking to media persons during his visit to Kukke Lord Subrahmanya temple on Wednesday October 6. He noted that the assembly election is 21 months away and added the party will fight it under the leadership of people chosen by the party leaders.
On the issue of 'Mission 123' workshop organized by the JD(S) aimed at improving its tally in the assembly election, Vijayendra said that it should have been named 'Mission 23. "The JD(S) will not get majority. They pray that others too do not get a majority," he quipped.
Vijayendra said that former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, during his prolonged political life, never fought for power but to wipe tears from the eyes of farmers, poor people and the destitute all through his life. He said that Yediyurappa, by undertaking a state tour shortly, will create groundwork for the party's election to power in the next election.
He said that the Congress leaders themselves are paving the way for freeing India of the Congress. He noted that Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah have differences of opinion. He said that victory for the Congress will remain a dream.
Vijayendra said that there is no proposal to replace either the state or national president of the party. He clarified that he wanted to visit Subrahmanya for the last many years and could finally realise his dream now, duly adding that there is no need to attach any special significance to his visit.
