Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 30: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, September 30 reported 94 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 1.00%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 18,61,684 samples have been tested so far, out of which 17,47,382 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,14,302 out of which 936 are currently active.

As many as 107 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 11706.

The death in the district on Thursday is 3. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,660.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,06,82,270 in fines for 87,895 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,33,374 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 77 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,229 out of which 206 are currently active.

A total of 76 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 75,619 for the second wave.

The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 284 lives in the district.
