Bangalore : Hearing of 16 MLAs Disqualification Plea Adjourned to Oct 18
Bangalore, Oct 12: The Karntaka high court on Tuesday adjourned to October 18 the hearing on the plea filed by 16 members of legislative assembly against their disqualification by Speaker KG Bopaiah on Monday.
The division bench comprising Chief Justice Kehar and Justice N Kumar, while refusing to grant an interim order to stay the Speaker’s directive, said that the arguments by both sides would commence on Monday.
The counsel for the MLAs had repeatedly requested a stay of the order, but the bench refused to grant a stay and stated that it would dispose off the petition later as it would require discussions on various legal points.
