Mumbai, Oct 12: Maharashtra Konkani Kala Sanstha will organize its fifth ‘Konkani Amateur Singing Competition’, for all Konkani song lovers at our Lady's Home, besides St Paul's Church, Dadar here on Sunday November 7.
The competition will be conducted in three sections – solo, duo-duet and group and is divided into three age groups - 3 to 12 years, 13 to 19 years and 20 years and above.
Competitors can take part in all three sections, but only once in each section, filling separate entry form for each participation.
The entry fee is Rs 50 for each entry and it should be submitted latest by Friday, October 31. Two prizes will be awarded in each age-group. Besides, each participant well get a gift and a certificate of participation.
Best All- Rounder Super Singer and the second Best All- Rounder Super Singer in the Solo category will be awarded the Alshan Godinho & James De Elly Rolling Trophy with a cash prize of Rs 3000/- and 2000/= respectively.
Winners will get an opportunity to perform in the Neves Oliveira Musical Show, featuring Lorna and other Konkani Stars, which will be staged in Mumbai in January/February 2011.
Contestants can select any song, but it should not be vulgar or political-based.
